Compact Information Systems: Enhanced Occupant User Guide

Experience the benefit of saturation with the targeting of a consumer list with Enhanced Occupant from Compact Information Systems, a Deep Sync Brand.

Provide your clients with a unique solution that combines a resident list's saturation with a consumer list's targeting abilities. Deep Sync’s Enhanced Occupant List is a hybrid data asset that combines high-quality resident/occupant data with the demographic targeting of a leading consumer file.

The concept is simple: Age and income filters enable you to remove households less likely to respond to your clients’ offers without sacrificing saturation rates.

The Enhanced Occupant Process

  • Navigate to Compact's site and log in
  • Select "Enhanced Occupant"
  • Select "Create a New Order" on the left-hand side

  • Input your PO number and job description
  • Select "Create New Order"
  • Add or edit the geography you'd like to target in the count
  • Select the "Enhanced Occupant" button to narrow down your search

Enhanced Occupant Household Targeting

  • Make your selections in the following sections:
    • Current Job

      • The top section displays the current quantity; it also includes the segment name and quantity when applicable

    • Cutoff Quantity
      • Enter the desired quantity in the "Cutoff Quantity" box; if the field is left blank, the system will provide any records that match the criteria
    • Do Cutoff On
      • Choose how the Cutoff Quantity should be applied; it can be limited to a single segment or applied to the count as a whole

    • Postal Qualification
      • Choose the preferred "Postage Qualification" level

Best Practice: Select "Saturation Only" to maintain the best mailing rates.

    • Priority
      • Set the priorities to select how records will be removed from the count
      • Remove by lowest income—records are removed in this order:
        • First, any records below the median route-level income, starting with the lowest income, are removed
        • Second, any records with an unknown income are removed
        • Third, any records above the median route-level income, starting with the lowest income are removed
      • If set as Priority 1, this selection will only apply to the count; if set as any other priority, it will be used as selected
      • Remove by income or age range—enter the preferred income and/or age range and set the priority (one or more options can be selected); records will be removed according to the selections until the desired quantity and/or postal qualification level is met
    • Dwelling Types

      • Choose the priority by dwelling type—at least one option must be selected; if the count doesn’t include a specific dwelling type, it will not be added, even though the default lists “Keep All”

    • Carrier Route Removal

      • If the above "Cutoff Quantity" field doesn’t specify a quantity, some routes can be removed to reach the preferred targeting; choose an option below to keep all routes or remove routes to meet the targeting

    • Apply the Targeting

      • Click "OK" to apply the targeting selected above

        • A successful process will return to the Job Summary page and show the new quantity
        • If unable to match the requested targeting, a note will be displayed
